Torrent vs. Direct Download

I’m downloading Ubunto 6.10 Linux to try it out. Instead of downloading from a mirror, I decided to try the torrent link. The difference in download speed is amazing! Instead of 140 Kbps, I’m getting 1.4 Mbps!

After trying IE 7 for a day, I can’t say I’m very impressed. It’s much better than IE 6, but it’s still not up to par with Firefox and Opera.

Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 7

After many years, Microsoft finally released a new web browser. They’ll push this out as a high-priority update soon. Some improvements over IE6 includes: New Interface, RSS Feeds, Phishing Filter, Protected Mode, Tabbed Browsing, and PNG support among many others.
