Home Depot vs. Lowe’s
terry storch: Home Depot vs. Lowe’s
For no reason at all, I’ve always been a Home Depot guy. I guess it’s because of the documentary I once saw about how it was started, etc. Weird, when I think about it. Terry writes about his experiences at both Home Depot & Lowes. What’s more interesting is when you compare financial stats:
Home Depot- 1,400 stores
Lowe’s- 850 storesHome Depot- $58 billion annual sales
Lowe’s- $26 billion annual salesHome Depot- 9% sales growth
Lowe’s- 20% sales growthHome Depot- 2002 earnings up 21%
Lowe’s- 2002 earnings up 44%Home Depot- Same store sales -6%
Lowe’s- Same store sales 17%Terry adds: I have become a Lowe’s guy because of outstanding customer service, cleaner and neater stores, and bottom-line a better experience.
Hmm… Maybe it’s time to check out Lowes?

the only reason lowes is much cleaner, is due to no customers. so the employes have nothing to do. as for home depot, its bussy everytime!
