Oakland County Goes Wireless

Since I live in Oakland County, this is great news! County Executive L. Brooks Patterson (R) announced in his "State of the County" address that all 900+ square miles of Oakland County would be covered with WiFi Internet access!

From the Wireless Oakland Website: Goal 1 is to "
Blanket the County with wireless internet access and provide free high speed internet access to every resident, business, and visitor in the County."

900 acres? I grew up in Troy (and now live in Flroida), and am pretty sure that all of Oakland county is far more than 900 acrtes. Do they mean just the county campus grounds in Pontiac?

Oops! That should be 900+ square miles. Big difference. :)
